Coffee Roasting Experience

Class Size: Limited to 4 people
In this engaging, hands on experience you’ll learn the craft and science of roasting specialty coffee. We’ll breakdown everything from planting on the farm, best harvest practices, processing techniques, green coffee selection and the science of coffee roasting.
You’ll get time on our Mill City 6 kg roaster with our head roaster Derek. You’ll walk away with 2-12oz bags of coffee you personally roasted. The class will be an overview of the specialty coffee chain, the decisions on why certain coffees are roasted the way they are, and formal cupping evaluating and tasting your roasted coffees.
During this experience we’ll have the opportunity to video conference with one of our coffee farming partners from around the world to ask any and all questions you have about life on a coffee farm.

This is meant to spark a curiosity into a very complex process. This is a group class and is a basic introduction to specialty coffee roasting.
