Nestled in the Montaña de La Choca national reserve, the farm benefits from a unique climate and rich soil that produce high-quality coffee. The clouded forest environment and defined wet and dry seasons allow for optimal cherry growth and sun-drying of beans, preserving their flavor and integrity. Raul continues his family’s legacy by cultivating new varietals such as Ovata and Pacamara on his certified organic Santa Lucia Reserve. The farm is also a natural sanctuary for birds, including toucans. Finca Santa Lucia employs around 75 seasonal pickers and 15 permanent workers, providing the highest wages in the region.
