Cupping Notes: Lemon, White Grape, Juicy
Roast level 01: Light

On the first sip, you are greeted with a punchy, yet approachable citrus-forward flavor that transitions to refreshing notes of white grape which carries throughout the cup. This is accompanied by a juicy palette experience to create a vibrant and sweet coffee. We recommend giving this a try on the Chemex. (Check out our brewing guide)

This coffee comes from: Kenya Cooperative Coffee Exporters (KCCE) started as a dry mill in Sagana which is committed to improving transparency and financial growth for farmers in the Central Highlands. They entail a total of 50 growing cooperatives in over 5 different regions, making them the largest Kenyan-owned exporter and mill in all of Kenya.

The coffee industry in Kenya is unique. It holds a top spot in specialty coffee and has some of the most expensive harvests each year. However Kenyan coffee production has been decreasing over the years. Traceability is important, but finding the right crop and getting it can be a challenge. The competition is very high, but the coffee industry is a system of the people and a collaborative effort. Everyone is on the same team with a like-minded goal, producing some of the best specialty coffee to find anywhere in the world.
